Meet Jerry

Jerry was born and raised in Dale City, Virginia, and first came to Blacksburg in 1987 to attend Virginia Tech. In 1991, he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. After graduation, he began a 31-year career of public service with the Commonwealth of Virginia, while living and being an active community member in Blacksburg.

Along the way, Jerry received a Masters of Science degree in Environmental Management from the University of Maryland-University College, served on the Boards of the New River Valley Bicycle Association and Sustainable Blacksburg, and co-founded the NRV Bike Kitchen. 

​

Jerry enjoys bicycling, hiking, reading, and exploring the backroads of Virginia. Jerry lives in Blacksburg and shares his adventures with his wife and best friend, Beth.

The first day of in-person early voting at the new location of the Montgomery County Office Of Elections is on Friday, September 22, 2023.  Election Day is Tuesday, November 7, 2023.
